Hi there, I’m Steph, a biology post-grad student from Newcastle, Australia.

I started collecting recipes in 2010 when a friend of mine gifted me a recipe book for my then 14th birthday and never looked back! The recipes that I’ve collected over the years have come from a wide range of sources – friends, family and many a defunct website.
You can look forward to some great bakes, dinners and traditional Italian dishes (direct from Nonna’s mouth).

  • Amok Curry (Cambodian style Chicken Curry)

    This curry was made specifically using the Amok Curry blend from My Souk Drawer, which devastatingly didn’t survive the Covid lockdowns. I’m still on the hunt for a blend that will come close to the depth of flavour, but any fresh Amok spice blend will do the trick for this light chicken curry.

    This delicious feast for the senses was created from the cutest postcard I bought direct from the source in Hiroshima, Japan. I’m not ashamed to say that I have a strong preference for this style over the Osaka variation!
